  • Name, phone number, and email address when you submit a contact or quote request form
  • Property address and project description when you request a permit quote
  • Any other information you voluntarily include in messages to us

Automatically collected information:

  • Pages visited, time on site, and referral source via Google Analytics 4 (only with your consent)
  • Device type, browser, and approximate geographic region (city-level) via analytics
  • IP address (anonymized by Google Analytics before storage)

3. How we use your information

  • To respond to your permit quote requests and provide building permit services
  • To communicate with you about your project, including drawings, submissions, and approvals
  • To improve our website and services using aggregated, anonymized analytics data
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Ads to understand how visitors use our website. These services set cookies on your device to collect anonymized usage data.

We implement Google’s Consent Mode v2: analytics and advertising cookies are denied by default until you explicitly accept them via the cookie banner on your first visit. You may change your preference at any time by clearing your browser cookies and revisiting the site.

6. Data retention

We retain contact form submissions and project-related correspondence for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with our legal obligations, typically up to 7 years after project completion (consistent with standard business records requirements in Ontario). Analytics data is retained according to your Google Analytics account settings and automatically ages out.

7. Your rights under PIPEDA

You have the right to:

  • Access personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Withdraw consent to the collection or use of your information (subject to legal and contractual restrictions)
  • File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada
